Philip Dance RIP

2008-10-31 14:00 by Antti Leino (0 comments)

Colleagues:

It is with deep regret that I forward the news of the untimely death of Philip Dance of the University of Portsmouth, UK on October 21, 2008. Dance was 59 and had a blood clot on his bowel. After surgery, he died of septic shock.

Dance was a bibliographer of onomastics. During the past week, I had announced some of his bibliographic work available on the web. We had also collaborated on a major bibliography also on the web.

He will be missed.

Edwin D. Lawson
