Prof. Bertie Neethling (1947 – 2022)
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you about the passing away of Prof. (SJ) Bertie Neethling (21/10/1947 – 20/09/2022), member of ICOS from South Africa (University of the Western Cape). He published many studies in scientific journals (Onoma, Names, Nomina Africana, etc.), in proceedings and collective volumes, as The Oxford Handbook of Names and Naming.
He made a difference to many people and his legacy will live on in his children, his publications and written works. He will remain in our memories and in our hearts.
