Welsh Place-Name Society annual conference
2017 Conference / Cynhadledd2017
Drwm, National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth / Drwm, Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru, Aberystwyth
7 October 2017 / 7 Hydref 2017
Having visited several parts of Wales over the last five years the Welsh Place-Name Society’s Annual Conference returns to Aberystwyth. The resources of y Drwm at the National Library will be a great bonus.
The conference is held in partnership with the Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, and WPNS greatly appreciates their support once more.
They are grateful for the welcome and contribution of colleagues across Wales which has enabled the conference to visit Cardiff, Bangor, Swansea, Llanelwedd and Llysfasi. Members are always keen to invite WPNS to their area and to accept the responsibility of part organizing the annual conference.
The WPNS’ peripatetic policy has also given them an opportunity to support both formal and informal activity in the field of place-names on a regional and local level. This again would not have been possible without the enthusiastic support of their membership.
WPNS looks forward to welcoming you in October.
